How to I get access to the New York Times while off-campus?

Answer

You can access NY Times anytime using the Library's home page link (see link below).

It has the coding that initiates the UTSW subscription anywhere and initiates browser-based VPN (EZProxy) for all the Library resources as long as that browser is active on the screen. EZProxy will time out after inactivity.

If you want to access the NY Times via their app and enjoy additional functionality from the app, then you must first register your utsouthwestern.edu email address at nytimes.com (from on-campus or using VPN) and then visit accessnyt.com, type in your school name, and follow the instructions to activate your account. Students are able to get up to a year after they graduate and faculty and staff get up to four years access.

If you continue to experience difficulty, you may contact edu@nytimes.com directly.
