Do I need a product key to install EndNote?
When you download EndNote from UTSW, you should not be asked for a product key or be prompted to start a free trial.
If this happens, the most common solution is to go back make sure you extracted the EndNote installation file. This generally happens for Windows users.
For more information see screenshot below and watch this tutorial video (extraction step at timestamp 1:13). This video is explanation for EndNote 20, but it's the same process for EndNote 21. When prompted to log into Mediasite, you can use your usual UTSW username and password.
