EndNote won't install on my Mac. What should I do?

This could be happening for a variety of reasons, but a common problem is that EndNote has been successfully installed, but it's not obvious how to start a library.

If there is an EndNote menu at the top of your Mac's screen:

Go to the File Menu, select New, and create a library.

Make sure to save your EndNote Library on your Mac's hard drive, not OneDrive, icloud, Google Drive, or another cloud or network drive. You can generally save your EndNote library in your Downloads or Applications folder.

If doing this doesn't open a new EndNote library, or you are having other installation problems on your Mac, please contact the library.
